Today’s activities included:

A visit to the CPR Foodbank, across two sites, listening to what drives staff and volunteers to go the extra mile for the hundreds of families they help every week. Helping with Foodbank tasks, including dating, sorting and organising meal boxes. Realising the gravity of the demand on the Foodbank & the challenges our local communities face. Thank you to Joyce, Don & Mel at CPR FoodBank for arranging a fantastic morning for us.

Followed by…

A trip to Tesco to conduct a successful bag pack where the C4L team raised over £150 for Cancer Research, The British Heart Foundation & Diabetes UK. It was fantastic to see the mentees really grow in confidence during the afternoon & to witness the delight they all felt when helping & raising money for great causes! We had some lovely positive interactions with members of the public, ensuring word gets out about our fantastic C4L programme as well as providing great customer service for Tesco. Thank you to Nikki and colleagues at Tesco Superstore for helping us arrange this great opportunity this afternoon!
